1. What information do we collect?
In Short: We collect very little information directly. Most of what we collect is technical data gathered automatically when you use our Services, plus anything you choose to send us when you contact us.
Information you provide to us
The Website has no accounts, sign-up forms or comment areas, and our Games do not require a Mobirate account. We only receive personal information that you voluntarily give us — for example, your email address and the contents of your message when you contact us at support@mobirate.com.
Information collected automatically
When you use our Services, we and our analytics and advertising partners automatically collect certain technical information. This information does not directly reveal your identity, but may include:
- On the Website: your IP address, browser type and settings, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, approximate (country-level) location, and information about how you interact with our pages — collected through analytics cookies and similar technologies.
- In the Games: your device type and operating system, unique device and mobile advertising identifiers (such as Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and Google's Advertising ID), app version, approximate (country-level) location, gameplay and usage data, and diagnostic and crash data.
We use this information to operate, secure and improve our Services, for analytics and reporting, and — in our Games — to show and measure advertising, as described below.
2. How do we use your information?
In Short: We use information to run and improve our Services, to provide analytics, to show ads in our Games, to respond to you, and to meet legal obligations.
- To provide and maintain our Services — operate the Website and Games and keep them working, secure and reliable.
- To analyse and improve — understand how our Services are used so we can improve features, performance and content.
- To show and measure advertising in our Games — our Games are free to play and supported by advertising. We and our advertising partners use device and advertising identifiers to show ads and measure their performance. You can limit this — see "What are your privacy rights?" below.
- To communicate with you — respond to your enquiries and support requests when you contact us.
- For security and fraud prevention — protect our Services, our users and the public.
- To comply with legal obligations — and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where the laws of the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK) apply, we rely on the following legal bases: our legitimate interests (to operate, secure and improve our Services and for analytics), your consent (for advertising and non-essential cookies or identifiers, where consent is required), and compliance with legal obligations.
3. Will your information be shared, and with whom?
In Short: We share information only with the providers and partners that help us run our Services, and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We may share information in the following situations and with the following categories of recipients:
- Advertising partners — ad networks and mediation partners that serve and measure ads in our Games, using advertising identifiers.
- Analytics providers — services that help us understand how the Website and Games are used.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — that host the Website and store data on our behalf.
- Platform providers — Apple, Google and other platforms that distribute our Games, process purchases, and provide services such as Apple Game Center and Google Play Games.
- Legal and safety — courts, regulators or authorities where required by law, or where necessary to protect our rights, our users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business.
Our service providers may only use your information to perform services for us, and are contractually required to protect it.
4. Cookies, advertising IDs and tracking technologies
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies — primarily Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager — to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Our Games use mobile advertising identifiers (Apple's IDFA and Google's Advertising ID) to show and measure advertising. You can reset or limit the use of these identifiers in your device settings — see "What are your privacy rights?" below.
5. Platform logins (Game Center and Google Play Games)
In Short: Our Games do not use Mobirate accounts or social-media logins. Some integrate with Apple Game Center or Google Play Games for saved progress and leaderboards.
Some of our Games integrate with platform services such as Apple Game Center and Google Play Games to offer features like saved progress, achievements and leaderboards. When you use these features, the platform may share limited information with the Game in line with your platform settings and the platform's own privacy policy. We do not control these platforms; we recommend reviewing Apple's and Google's privacy policies and adjusting your settings there.
6. Third-party websites and services
Our Services may contain links to, or advertisements for, third-party websites, services or apps that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those third parties, and this notice does not apply to them. Any data you provide to, or that is collected by, a third party is governed by that third party's own policy. We encourage you to review those policies before sharing any information.
7. How long do we keep your information?
In Short: We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this notice, unless a longer period is required by law.
We keep information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example, for tax, accounting or other legal requirements). Technical and analytics data is generally retained in identifiable form for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your information, we will delete or anonymise it, or, where that is not immediately possible (for example, because it is held in backups), securely store and isolate it until deletion is possible.
8. How do we keep your information safe?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal or modify your information. You use our Services and transmit information to and from them at your own risk, and should only access them within a secure environment.
9. Children's privacy
In Short: Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13.
Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@mobirate.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. What are your privacy rights?
In Short: Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information — and you can limit ad tracking through your device settings at any time.
In some regions (such as the EEA and UK), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access to and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure, (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information, and (iv) where applicable, to data portability. In certain circumstances you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. To make a request, please use the contact details below.
If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal, nor processing carried out on other lawful grounds.
If you are a resident in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. You can find their contact details here: https://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/bodies/authorities/index_en.htm. If you are a resident in Switzerland, the contact details are available here: https://www.edoeb.admin.ch/edoeb/en/home.html.
Limiting advertising
You can limit interest-based advertising in our Games by resetting or disabling your advertising identifier in your device settings — on iOS via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising, and on Android via Settings → Privacy → Ads. On the Website, you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. To exercise any of your rights, email us at support@mobirate.com.
11. Controls for do-not-track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you in a revised version of this notice.
12. California residents' privacy rights
In Short: California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. We do not sell or "share" your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 (the "Shine The Light" law) permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents may also have the right to know about, access, delete and correct the personal information we hold about them, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@mobirate.com.
13. Updates to this notice
In Short: Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to stay compliant with relevant laws.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice of the changes. We encourage you to review this notice frequently to stay informed about how we protect your information.
